Heider Tamayo, Yopal and La Maravilla, Colombia

Did political lines exist in our fields?
Yes. It was a scourge that reached La Maravilla, Yopal, and Cunday, and for anyone who would travel.
The roads were roads of death; crossing those lines meant death.
Who would imagine that the two colors (blue and red) would make the blades of the machetes ring,
that the trees would be the hiding place of an eraser, not of a letter, but of a life, of a son without a father.
But this scourge of the colors has ended.
Now the green of our roads symbolizes life, faith, and hope, to continue a life of prosperity.
