Good afternoon, my son. It’s a pleasure to meet you. I am someone who has been forgotten over time. My name carries explicit suffering: Cruz Eladio. Eladio is a common and ordinary name, but Cruz (translated as cross) means suffering. Christ suffered and died on the cross, and although I have a Spanish gentleman’s last name, I no longer matter to this world. In the end, what matters is not who I am, but why I am here. I am dead; violence killed me.
